Laurence Fishburne has officially been pegged to replace William Peterson on CSI: Original Recipe.
Mister Fishburne has an Emmy and a Tony and an Oscar nomination. He pretty much can do anything he wants. So, I'm not exactly sure why he is joining a show that's on it's last leg and loosing its main character.
At any rate, Larry will join the cast during its 10th season on CBS. He'll play a "forensics scientist with a secret" according to a press release.
I want to know what kind of secret? Like a John Edwards kind of secret? Or a Larry Craig kind of secret? Or something sinister...maybe he'll play the black Dexter and investigate the murders he commits.
It wouldn't surprise me he played a gay character. It wouldn't be the first time. He played a gay cowboy on Pee Wee's Play back in the 80's.
