Be prepared to watch the best video you will ever see in your life.
Okay, maybe not THE best...but it is so freakin' sweet, I can't even begin to describe it to you.
I came across this video from 1986 of the show, Puttin' on the Kids which was the children's spin-off of the grownup version of the show Putting on the Hits. Both shows were talent competitions like American Idol, only for lip-syncers.
No real talent, but want to be on the tele? Come try out for the show!
I loved both of those horrible shows when I was a kid, however short lived. So when I stumbled across an 11-year-old contestant named Duffy Lucas doing his best "Sussudio," then I just had to share it.
I could watch this little pink lamb "sing" and dance over and over again, and still laugh like a mad man every time I see it.
Maybe it's the high kicks. Maybe it's the jazz hands. Maybe it the "Look at me, I'm on TV" expression on his little gay face. I don't know what it is. But it's pure magic!
P.S. I googled the kid's name, with the faintest hope that I'd find him in a few commercials or a small part in a movie or at least find a site for "Duffy Lucas Cheer Leading Camp" or a beauty salon or floral shoppe by the same name. But no such luck.
With scores as high as his, it's shocking he didn't go further in the biz.
