In Case You Wondered
Why Simon Kept Saying That to Him

Authentic American Idol Robbie

Does anyone remember Boyz 'N Girlz United? Probably not.

If you did, you would know why Simon Cowell kept telling American Idol reject Robbie Carrico, "I simply don't buy it. It's just not authentic."

Most people thought Simon was referring to his hair.
(It was widely rumored that Robbie's long mane was actually a wig.)

But no, Simon was referring to the "edge" Mister Carrico was trying to project.

Simon is probably the only one who remembers Robbie from the sugar-pop band when he dated the then self-professing virgin, Britney Spears.

Check him out this video.

Wow, homeboy looks so different! I haven't seen a before-and-after that dramatic since Jennifer Gray.
